Hanna Kuhns is an abstract artist and art educator, born in Munich, Germany, and based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Drawing inspiration from her active life as a skier and runner, she brings that same sense of movement, energy, and physicality into her studio practice.

Working experimentally with paint and printmaking materials, Kuhns creates layered, gestural compositions that move with purpose. Her abstractions tell stories of people and places, capturing not their literal likeness, but the impressions and feelings they leave behind.

Appearing throughout her work is Rhonda, a recurring figure who embodies a “full-send” approach to life: bold, unapologetic, and fully alive.
